ARRAY RELEASING ACQUIRES AWARD-WINNING DOCUMENTARY

Los Angeles, CA (November 7, 2014) – ARRAY, the multi-platform distribution label of the African-American Film Festival Releasing Movement (AFFRM), today announced the acquisition of 25 TO LIFE, a Ford Foundation grant winner. Marking the feature directorial debut of Mike L. Brown, Array will release 25 TO LIFE for a one-week engagement in Los Angeles on November 28, 2014, followed by one-night engagements worldwide beginning on World Aids Day on December 1, 2014. ARRAY has acquired worldwide distribution rights. The announcement was made by AFFRM Founder Ava DuVernay.

AFRICAN-AMERICAN FILM FESTIVAL RELEASING MOVEMENT’S MULTI-PLATFORM LABEL ARRAY RELEASING ACQUIRES SLAMDANCE 2014 OFFICIAL SELECTION

Los Angeles, CA (March 18, 2014) – ARRAY, the multi-platform distribution label of the African-American Film Festival Releasing Movement (AFFRM), today announced the acquisition of Slamdance 2014 Official Documentary Selection, VANISHING PEARLS. Marking the directorial debut of Louisiana native Nailah Jefferson, VANISHING PEARLS will be released on April 18, 2014 to coincide with the fourth anniversary of BP’s Deepwater Horizon oil disaster. ARRAY has acquired worldwide distribution rights. The announcement was made by AFFRM Founder Ava DuVernay.

AFRICAN-AMERICAN FILM FESTIVAL RELEASING MOVEMENT’S MULTI-PLATFORM LABEL ACQUIRES SLAMDANCE FAVORITE

Los Angeles, CA, April 16, 2013 – ARRAY, the multi-platform distribution label of African-American Film Festival Releasing Movement (AFFRM), today announced the acquisition of Slamdance 2013 Official Selection, BIG WORDS, the directorial debut of former Entertainment Weekly reporter Neil Drumming. The film stars Dorian Missick (“Southland”) as the title character, along with Gbenga Akinnagbe (“The Wire”), Zachary Booth (‘Keep The Lights On”), Yaya Alafia (“The Kids Are All Right’) with Darien Sills-Evans and rapper Jean Grae. ARRAY has acquired all U.S. distribution rights. The announcement was made by AFFRM Founder Ava DuVernay.
